The UFC has announced that an alternate audio feed featuring UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber and rap icon Snoop Dogg will be available to Fight Pass users.

Update (7/2): MMA Today has also learned that fighters aren’t all guaranteed a shot at the UFC. Many of the less experienced prospects can still get a contract with an impressive performance, but it seems their primary goal may just be to gain exposure and may be sent back to the regional circuits to gain more experience. Sources tell MMA Today that the UFC will not be signing every fighter who wins on the show. At the conclusion of each show it is expected there will be an announcement as to which fighters UFC President Dana White has decided to bring into the UFC.

Update (7/3): Per Steve Kelliher of Tapology, fighters will receive $5,000 to show and $5,000 if they win. Fighters are all on one fight deals with Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and will have all medicals paid for by the promotion.

Update (7/7): While there was speculation that WMMA fighters would NOT be featured on “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series,” MMA Today has discovered that female fights will indeed take place on this UFC Fight Pass original.

Update (7/8): The UFC has announced that there will be two “traditional” commentary teams in addition to the “alternate” commentary team of hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg and UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber. The UFC will alternate commentary teams of Dan Hellie (play-by-play) and former UFC veteran Yves Edwards (color) with Dan Fitzgerald (play-by-play) and current UFC lightweight Paul Felder (color). Former Invicta sideline reporter and current UFC on FOX sideline reporter Laura Sanko will be on sideline duty as well.

Update (7/10): MMA Today has learned that fighters will not be wearing Reebok gear as UFC fighters are contractually obliged to do, but instead will exclusively be wearing gear as part of another apparel deal. “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” has paired with “Gruntstyle LLC.” Just like the Reebok deal, no sponsors will be allowed on the fighters’ shorts/shirts and no fight banners will be allowed either. In addition to the apparel deal, MMA Today has learned that an expected crowd of only 100 people is expected to be on hand tomorrow. The fights are closed to the public and fighters’ families and friends are the only ones allowed into the TUF Gym premises. Finally, MMA Today has learned that the pacing for “DWTNCS” is expected to be fast and furious with the main event beginning no later than 9:45pm EST. Fights are expected to go back to back with no extensive breaks in the action.

Update (8/1): The UFC announced on their broadcast that 8/29 would indeed be the final episode of the Contender Series for the time being, and no additional cards would be scheduled right away. In addition, MMA Today has learned that Dana White has told multiple fighters featured on the Contender Series that they would be placed on a card to be featured on the hit series “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.”
